How to Set Up the Creality CFS for Multi-Color Printing on K2 Plus

CFS Multicolor Box Buffer 485 wire

Notes: The longer PTFE tube connects the CFS to the buffer, while the shorter one connects the buffer to the printer. The shorter 485 cable connects the CFS and buffer, and the longer one connects the CFS to the printer.

Connecting a Single CFS Multi-color Box to the K2 Plus 1. Install the filament buffer on the two holes reserved on the back of the printer and tighten it with two buffer screws; pay attention to the direction of the buffer, do not install it a wrong direction, and ensure that the four air pipes are facing correctly.

2. Attach the longer Teflon tube (a) from the buffer’s right side to the CFS hub pneumatic interface. This is where the filament will enter the buffer.

3. Attach the shorter Teflon tube (b) to the left side of the buffer, where the filament will travel to the printer’s nozzle.

4. Connect the 485 Cable (Short)

Insert the shorter 485 cable into the buffer’s top port. One end of this cable will connect the buffer to the CFS.

5. Connect the 485 cable (long wire) to the port on the lower part of the backplane to connect the K2 Plus printer

Attach the longer 485 cable to the lower port on the backplane. This cable connects the CFS to the K2 Plus printer.

6. Once everything is connected, the multi-color filament settings will appear on the K2 Plus home page, indicating the setup was successful.

Connecting Multiple CFS Multi-color Boxes to the K2 Plus To use multiple CFS boxes with the K2 Plus, note that one buffer can support up to four CFS modules (16 colors). Here’s how to set it up:

1. Insert all CFS tubes into the pneumatic interface of the buffer

2. Connect all CFS multicolor boxes with 485 cable wire.
