Real User Cases: Powered by Creality Scanners [Case 1] Seamless Dashboard Upgrade: Qi2 Charger Mount for Dacia Duster II Using the Creality Ferret Pro 3D scanner, Brian Dragtstra perfectly customized a Qi2 phone charger and holder for their Dacia Duster II dashboard.

By scanning the dashboard area with Ferret Pro, they captured precise geometry, allowing for an exact-fit design in Fusion 360.

The final product — two PETG printed parts installed with non-permanent adhesive — fits tightly without rattling or shifting, preserving the clean look of the interior.

This project highlights how Creality’s Ferret Pro empowers effortless, professional-grade customizations for real-world vehicle upgrades

Without access to an original "Periscopio" LP400S model, they collaborated with a designer to modify the scanned roof and engine deck based on historical photos and measurements, recreating the iconic 1979 LP400S look.

The modified designs were 3D printed, turned into molds, and used to produce fiberglass replica parts — now being integrated into their custom Countach replica.

This project shows how Creality 3D scanning bridges the gap between classic automotive heritage and modern fabrication techniques.

[Case 3]Precision Electronics Integration with Creality Raptor: ECU and Pedal Upgrades Using the Creality Raptor 3D scanner , Michael Tremblay conducted multiple high-precision scans to support a full electronics upgrade on their car.

The instrument cluster was scanned to design a prototype housing for an ECU master controller. The dashboard was scanned to create a custom-fit mount for the ECU master interface. The pedal area was scanned to fit a new electronic throttle pedal, ensuring perfect alignment with the existing pedal setup. More scans are planned as the project progresses, demonstrating how the Raptor 3D scanner empowers users to achieve professional-level integration and customization with unmatched accuracy.

By scanning the original components, he redesigned them into a Voronoi structure , achieving a remarkable 70% weight reduction compared to the stock frame.

This drastic weight saving allowed the rider to significantly improve race performance.

This project highlights how RaptorX's precision scanning makes advanced structural redesigns possible for motorsport applications.

[Case 5]From Scan to Street: Creality Raptor 3D Scanner Powers Custom Widebody Kit for '99 Audi A8 Facing minimal aftermarket support, Dane Eivindson embarked on a passion project to transform a 1999 Audi A8.

Using the Creality Raptor 3D scanner to capture precise body data, they designed and 3D printed a custom widebody kit inspired by the aggressive styling of Euro drift culture.

Thanks to Raptor’s high-accuracy scanning and precise modeling, the project turned out amazing — achieving a unique, perfectly fitted look for a rarely modified platform.

[Case 6] Custom Air Duct and More: Toyota Avensis Upgrades with Creality Otter 3D Scanner Using the Creality Otter 3D scanner , Sander van Leeuwen precisely captured the shape of the front bumper on a heavily modified Toyota Avensis (1.6 NA to 2.0 Turbo engine swap, FWD to 4WD conversion).

The scan data allowed the design of a custom air duct for an oil cooler hidden behind the bumper, fitting perfectly where a fog light or cover panel would normally be.

Next, the Otter will support more upgrades:

Custom headlights with Hella projectors and air intakes Airflow channels for the alternator and intake system Brackets and enclosures for a high-end audio system .image-row { display: flex; justify-content: space-between; /* 可改为 space-around 或 center */ }

They scanned the charging lid of a Fisker Ocean EV, reverse engineered it, and adjusted the design for Design for Additive Manufacturing (DfAM) before 3D printing it with FDM technology .

Thanks to the precise scan and redesign, Fisker Ocean owners can now replace critical parts and keep their vehicles operational — without needing salvage parts from wrecked cars.

The next steps include scanning the wheel arches and additional components to support even more Fisker Ocean owners.
