Place the spool so filament unwinds in the natural direction toward the chosen outlet. Feed the filament through the outlet and into the PTFE tube. Keep the PTFE route as short and smooth as practical. Avoid tight bends that increase drag between the dryer and extruder. Pull filament by hand before printing to confirm the spool rotates smoothly. For moisture-sensitive materials, leave the dryer running during a long print if the material manufacturer recommends keeping the spool dry in use. 5. How to Read the Humidity Display

The humidity value is useful as a trend , not a direct measurement of water inside the filament. Chamber temperature, room humidity, spool moisture and airflow all affect the number.

Do not end a cycle simply because the RH display reaches a particular percentage. Use the filament maker's recommended time and verify the result with the print itself: less popping, fewer bubbles, cleaner surfaces and reduced moisture-related stringing are stronger evidence.
