Creality K2 Plus Automatic Refill Guide: Never Run Out Mid-Print Again

This guide will walk you through how it works and how to set it up to ensure seamless filament changes without interrupting your prints.

What is K2 Plus Automatic Refill? The Automatic Refill feature enables your K2 Plus to automatically switch to a backup filament when the current spool runs out—as long as the replacement filament matches the same type and color.

🎯 For example: If Filament Slot 1 (white PLA) runs out during a print, the system will automatically switch to another white PLA filament in Slot 3 without pausing the print or requiring manual intervention.

This ensures smooth, uninterrupted printing, especially for long or high-infill models.

How to Activate the Automatic Refill Function 1. How to Click the print screen to enter the home page and enter the multi-color CFS filaments setting interface Activate the Automatic Refill Function Put the same filaments into different slots in CFS, and set the filaments to be replenished on the editing page, with the same name and color.

2.Click Multicolor Print Settings in the lower left corner

3. Click to start automatic refill (the system will default to select filaments with the same properties and preferentially select filaments with the same color)

4. When the automatic refill is activated, you can click the Auto button to view the automatic refill sequence

How It Works During Printing Once automatic refill is activated, here's what happens:

If a filament runs out mid-print, the K2 Plus pauses momentarily. The printer automatically switches to another CFS slot containing the same material and color. Printing resumes automatically—no manual action needed! You don’t have to stop your print, change the spool manually, or worry about failed prints due to filament depletion.
