Anti-aliasing can alleviate, pixel blurring can resolve (but the details will be a bit blurry), but ideally, tilt the model 30 to 60 degrees, stand it up a little, and print with supports.

Warped Print Model 1. Phenomenon description

2. Cause analysis

2.1 The printer's leveling is not properly calibrated, resulting in a situation where one side is higher than the other. This can lead to problems such as the workpiece falling on the material tray or warping at the higher position.

2.2 The model is a solid model or is too thick. Generally, the thickness of the printed model is about 1-5MM. If it exceeds this thickness, it is necessary to perform a hollowing process to prevent the model from being too heavy, causing the model to fall or severely warp.

2.3 The setting of the model printing time can also cause the model to warp or fall off. When the forming platform is properly adjusted, the first layer printing time should be as long as possible to ensure that the first layer of the model workpiece can firmly stick to the forming platform. Additionally, the number of exposure layers for the first layer should be appropriately increased.

2.4 Check whether there is a gap between the bottom of the model and the platform shown in the software. If there is, please correct the model or add support to make the model more closely related to the platform.

3. Troubleshooting and solution

3.1 Adjust the printer's build platform with the following standard:

Clean the build platform to ensure no remaining materials, and the molding area should not have any print residual or hard materials to avoid damaging the print screen. Remove the material tray first, loosen the four leveling screws of the build platform, do not remove the build platform, and the build platform needs to be securely tightened on the arm. Prepare a piece of A4 paper cut to the size of the print screen and spread it on the top of the print screen. When the leveling platform drops to the print screen, the four sides of the build platform need to be completely attached to the A4 paper on the screen. Hold the build platform with your left hand, and lock the finished platform diagonally with your right hand (for example, lock the left one screw first, then lock the right two, then lock the right one, and finally lock the left two). After locking the platform, reset it. After zeroing, press the four sides of the build platform by hand, observe whether there are edges or rebounds. If there are, adjust the build platform again until the platform is completely attached. 3.2 If the model itself is solid or too heavy, you can use third-party software to achieve the hollowing function. Then use the built-in software to slice and layout the print. This will greatly increase the yield and reduce the use of materials. Software includes (MAGICS, CHITUBOX64, etc.)

3.3 The model's dropping and warping are closely related to the print time, especially the first layer print time. It is suggested to use a long exposure time to ensure the adhesion is tightly attached to the build platform. The suggested time (LD001 LD002 LD003) for the first layer is 70-90 seconds. The number of first layer print layers is 5-10 layers. Other exposure layers are 8-13 seconds (depending on the thickness of the model file for other layers of exposure, the thicker the time is less.)

Print Model Cannot Adhere/Easily Falls Off 1. Phenomenon description

2. Cause analysis

2.1 Insufficient base exposure. When the platform is raised, the model will generate 2-sided tension from the adhesion of the release film and the platform. As the resin hardens and expands during exposure, it can fill all surfaces of the platform very tightly, so the actual adhesion surface of the platform is larger than the release film. The release film is coated and will separate first when raised. When the exposure is insufficient, the bonding effect of the adhesion area on the platform side is reduced, and the model can be separated from the platform.

2.2 Platform too smooth. From factor one we know that the rougher the platform surface, the stronger the bonding effect. A too smooth platform cannot firmly grasp the bottom tension when the model resists lifting.

2.3 The printing platform is not level. If the printing platform is not level, one side or corner of the platform may not stick together, and side tilt may cause printing to not start. The expression of factor one is that it is possible to leave the platform at any time during the printing process. According to this factor, as the exposure compensation continues, if the initial layer successfully adheres, the bottom in the upward direction may become thicker or separate more parts.

2.4 The platform is not flat enough. Due to problems encountered by the printer during processing, most metal surfaces may become concave in the center if not treated. Slight deformation does not significantly affect model printing. In the case where the relative depression exceeds 1 millimeter, it is easy for the model to fall off. Especially the higher the printing layer, the higher the probability. When printing large layers, the bottom exposure in the middle is quite thick, the light cannot pass through, causing the resin on the platform surface to not harden or not fully harden. The model in the middle of the platform is more likely to drop.

2.5 Material characteristics. Resin materials also affect the adhesion of the model. Special resins contain a lot of additives, which affect the curing effect. With the same exposure time, the bonding difficulty is greater. The "light-absorbing" ability of the resin's photosensitizer is too strong or too weak, which will also affect the curing effect.

2.6. Slicing issues.

There is too little support for model slicing, we need to add it again. On the other hand, the model itself is large, but the contact surface with the platform is small, resulting in the whole weight of the model increasing when printing to the second half, and the surface of the model attached to the platform is not enough to hold the whole model, so it will fall off. Add a base plate with a larger contact area, the whole modification can be printed again after completion. It should be noted that if the print fails, the resin should be filtered through a filter mesh before printing again to avoid the influence of model residues on the second print or even press the print screen. 3. Troubleshooting and solution

3.1 You can moderately increase the original exposure number by 2 seconds increments, up to about 100 (first layer exposure). Increase the first layer exposure count by increments of 1, up to 10 layers.

3.2 Use low grit sandpaper or a hard object to roughen the print platform, the rougher it is, the better the adhesion.

3.3 Re-level the print: Remove the material tray, loosen the screws on both sides of the platform, and click "return to origin" on the screen. Press the platform by hand, slightly tighten one set of diagonal screws first, not too tightly, then tighten the remaining two screws, and finally reinforce all once again. After reinforcement, you can use the light from your phone to see if light is leaking out from the two sides of the platform and the printing screen. If so, you need to repeat the above steps.

3.4 You can use a straightedge to simply test the flatness or level of the print platform. If it is not flat, it is recommended to replace the print platform.

3.5 Change to new consumables (for example, if the resin has been left idle for too long, or if it has expired, consider this aspect).

3.6 Reslice. In the support settings of the slicing, the model can generate a base, and the base can increase the initial contact surface. By default, the base will be larger than the projected area of the model, so in multi-model slicing, we can horizontally move the models, so that the bases of the models are all connected together. This can effectively solve the risk of failure caused by the platform not being levelled well or being concave, and also avoid the situation of individual models falling off.

3.7 The local temperature is too low, causing poor resin activity. You can soak the resin aluminum can in hot water for about ten minutes before using it.

3.1 Insufficient exposure time may lead to inadequate layer solidification. During the continuous layer-by-layer construction process, a certain layer may be partially missing due to insufficient solidification, making it impossible for subsequent layers to properly continue on the previous layer, resulting in layer delamination issues.

3.2 Check whether the model support is sufficient. If the model support is not in place, or the density is not enough, it is easy to cause slight shaking of the model when demolding during printing. At this time, it is recommended to increase the support density or manually add support to stabilize the model.

3.3 Check whether the separation film in the material box is loose. If there is any looseness, it is recommended to adjust the tension of the separation film steel ring.

3.4 If there is abnormal noise in the operation of the Z-axis, the swing amplitude is too large, or there is a jam in the printing platform when the Z-axis runs up and down.

3.5 The lifting speed during printing will also affect the quality of the model. If the lifting speed is too fast, a layer will have to follow the next layer without sufficient solidification, which will easily cause the phenomenon of model demolding between layers, directly reflected on the layer surface, resulting in layer delamination issues.

The Printed Model with White Objects on the Surface 1. Phenomenon description

The model solidification is complete with white objects on the surface.

2. Cause analysis

The white is a mixture of alcohol and resin, the curing process resulted in white due to the failure of drying the alcohol completely.

Before curing the model, blow-dry the alcohol and then proceed with the curing process.

Hole in the center of the model 1. Phenomenon description

The model being printed has internal voids or holes.

3. Troubleshooting and solution

3.1 Provide STL and slicing, confirm if there are any defects in the model itself causing problems.

3.2 Before printing, the print screen, resin vat, and build platform need to be cleaned thoroughly to ensure no foreign objects are present.

3.3 Prior to printing, clear the screen exposure and clean any resin clumps in the resin vat before proceeding with the print.

3.4 Increase delay exposure and decrease motor speed, it's possible that the resin hasn't flowed back into position due to the high speed, and is being pressed onto the build platform prematurely for printing.

3.5 Check if the exposure during a blank model print is normal, whether the light transmission of the print screen weakens when printing in the middle of the model. If the light transmission is abnormal, it indicates a problem with the print screen, and the print screen needs to be replaced.

Printed Model Damaged & Incomplete 1. Phenomenon description

3. Troubleshooting and solution

3.1 Impurities in the consumables or on the filament spool are obstructing the modeling area, causing holes.

3.2 The printing screen has dead pixels or cracks.

3.3 Insufficient supports were added, failing to hold the model effectively, add more supports.

3.4 The model wall thickness is less than 0.5mm, which will result in poor printing quality. Increase the wall thickness to ensure it is at least 1mm.

3.5 The substantial wear of the resin vat against the FEP film weakens the light transmission, which prevents effective resin curing. Replacing with a new FEP film can solve this problem.

Printed Model has a Stair-step Pattern 1. Phenomenon description

The printed model has a stair-step pattern.

2. Cause analysis

The plane of this model is not parallel to the x or y axis of the screen, thus resulting in a stair-stepped pattern.

3. Troubleshooting and solution

3.1 Position the model plane parallel to the x or y-axis of the screen, or directly rotate it horizontally by 30 to 45 degrees.

3.2 Enable Anti-Aliasing: 20-220.

Resin Issues Red Wax Resin Non-stick Platform 1. Phenomenon description

3.1 Print a random model, stir the resin before printing and ensure the vat is free of impurities.

3.2 If the random model print fails, check the leveling condition. Operation: Place an A4 paper on the print screen, click the leveling function, wait for the print platform to press down on the A4 paper, the four corners withdraw from the A4 paper, if it can be pulled, it means it needs to be retightened. After re-leveling, print a simple model for a test.

3.3 After all the above adjustments are normal: Lower the print speed to below 3mm/s, the bottom layer exposure time is 50s, the exposure time is 2.2s, and the light-off delay is 6s (The exposure time is for reference only, it needs to test the model to determine whether the resin is at the optimal exposure time).

Disassemble the machine, disconnect and reconnect the display ribbon cable from the display screen mainboard. Similarly, check the display ribbon cable at the mainboard end, then power up for testing. Update the mainboard firmware to the latest version for testing. If conditions permit, you can try plugging the display screen into a nearby functioning device to test whether the display is still incomplete. 2.1 Plug in the mouse and click to see if there is any response; if there is no response to mouse clicks, it indicates a motherboard failure.

2.2 If there is a response to mouse clicks, then the issue is with the touchscreen's touch control.

"There is a problem with this model data!" error occurs when printing using LAN

2. Cause analysis

2.1 Incorrect printer model selected during model slicing

2.2 Wrong printer model selected for local network printing after model slicing completion

3. Troubleshooting and solution

3.1 When using the slicing software, check if the corresponding printer model has been selected.

3.2 After the model slicing is completed, check if the corresponding printer model has been selected for LAN (Local Area Network) printing.

3.3 Copy the model to the USB flash drive for printing. If the model can be printed, then the wrong corresponding printer model was selected during LAN printing. If the model still produces an error during printing, then the wrong corresponding printer model was chosen when using the slicing software.

Z-Axis Motion Noise 1. Phenomenon description

Z-axis motion noise.

2. Cause analysis

The noise is caused by leakage or insufficient lubrication of the lead screw. Adding lubricant to the screw may solve the problem. When the cleaning mode is not activated, the operating noise is less than 55dB at a horizontal distance of 50cm from the product.

3. Troubleshooting and solution

2.1 Insufficient lubrication, generating abnormal noise;

3.1 Apply lubricating oil to the lead screw and guide rail to reduce friction;

3.2 If there is a driver, check whether the driver's dip switch is normal, as shown in the figure.

3.3 Inspect the surrounding screws, if any are loose, tighten them.

3.4 Loosen the coupling and run the motor independently to see if it operates normally.

Zeroing and leveling abnormalities 1. Phenomenon description

When homing, the motor does not respond. When leveling, the motor keeps turning downward, and it continues to make a grinding noise even after reaching the bottom.

2. Cause analysis

2.1 Issue with incorrectly connected terminal on the mainboard. Normally it should be connected to port 3 (Z-axis limit switch), but it was connected to other ports 1/2/4, causing the limit switch to be unresponsive.

2.2 Anomalies with the limit switch causing.

3. Troubleshooting and solution

3.1 Check if the limit switch is functioning properly. You can use a piece of cardboard or a screwdriver between the limits to see if the limit light goes off normally. If it goes off normally, this indicates that the limit switch is functioning properly, proceed to the second step of troubleshooting.

3.2 Check if the limit terminal interface on the mainboard is properly plugged in and tight. Also, check if it is properly connected to the third port.

The Machine Does not Print/Printing Fails 1. Phenomenon description

The machine does not print/Printing is unsuccessful.

2. Cause analysis

Remove the material vat and printing platform, place a sheet of white paper on the print screen, and run a blank test to check if the exposure is functioning properly. Upgrade to the latest firmware. Use the small plastic scraper from the accessories to scrape the bottom of the vat to check for cured resin. Filter the resin again. Check if the resin has expired. If the ambient temperature on-site is too low, it can affect the activity of the resin. The Machine Stuck as It Starts to Print 1. Phenomenon description

The print job freezes right at the start

2. Cause analysis

2.1 Deformation of the lead screw thread prevents vertical movement.

2.2 Resin on the lead screw causes solidification and sticking.

2.3 The coupler screw is loose, causing the lead screw to fail to rotate.

2.4 The material tray and the forming platform are solidified into one, making it impossible to pull up.

2.5 Poor motor wire contact results in no action command execution.

3. Troubleshooting and solution

3.1 After the machine is powered off, confirm whether the lead screw can be manually rotated (manually rotate the upper part of the lead screw clockwise, as the lead screw is slippery, it is best to wrap it with a tissue to increase friction). If the lead screw cannot be rotated, you can unscrew all the build platform nuts and filament tray screws, and then manually drag the filament tray and print platform out. Go to the print page, randomly choose an existing print model, set the motor speed to 1mm/s in the settings. After setting, click print without the filament tray and build platform to let the machine print empty, to see if the motor raises and lowers normally. If the motor's empty lift is normal, clean the bottom, inside of the filament tray, build platform, and the resin residue on the surface of the print screen (clean with alcohol), and then reprint (do not overfill the resin).

3.2 When clicking on 'Home', pay attention to whether there is sound from the motor. If there is, the motor is normal. If there is no sound, check the motor cable. If the terminal of the cable is normally re-plugged, then the motor is damaged.

3.3 Check whether the coupler screws are loose, causing the motor to idle.

3.4 Test by replacing the firmware.

3.5 If all of the above troubleshooting still doesn't work, you can disassemble the three screws marked in the picture, and then individually check if the brass nut, arm rail, and lead screw can rotate independently. The one that can't rotate is the problem.

The Machine UV light Remains On 1. Phenomenon description

The UV light remains on even after turning off the clear screen or completing the print.

2. Cause analysis

Mainboard terminal connection error. The LED light connector was mistakenly plugged into the fan port, causing the LED light to remain on after the screen clearing was completed. (After the screen clearing, the mainboard continues to supply power to the fan, but due to the wrong connection, the light remains on.

3. Troubleshooting and solution

Check the wire label connected to the power enable terminal of the light board on the main board, it should be marked with: LED... . The first interface on the fan main board (cooling fan interface) is connected to the light board cooling fan, labeled: FAN2. The second interface (exhaust fan interface) is connected to the air filter fan, labeled: FAN1.

3.1 Confirm the selection of the correct printer model, and check whether the model slicing export was successful. Please ask the customer to reslice the model.

3.2 The model is relatively large and requires the use of a high-speed USB drive for import.

Failed to Send Sliced Model Through HALOT BOX 1. Phenomenon description

The build platform emits abnormal noises during vertical movement

2. Cause analysis

2.1 The equipment and host are properly connected to the network.

2.2 Ensure that the device and host are within the same Local Area Network (The device only supports 2.4GHZ network, it does not support 5G).

2.3 The software version has been updated to the latest version.

2.4 The host Local Area Network firewall has not been shut down.

3. Troubleshooting and solution

3.1 Download the latest software version through the Creality cloud official website and upgrade the current version on the mainframe to the latest HALOT BOX version.

3.2 Check if the device is properly connected to WIFI. If the WIFI signal cannot be found, it is recommended to change the router's WIFI network band to 2.4GHZ standard.

3.3 Confirm that the computer and device are within the same local area network (this can be confirmed through the CMD command ping device IP on the computer side. If the ping is successful, it means they are all within the same network. If the ping is unsuccessful, it is recommended to use a mobile hotspot to connect the device and mainframe simultaneously and try again).

3.4 Locate the device firewall in the mainboard control panel and set the domain network to "no".
